Catering, the way we would want to be catered
We bring the fire, the platters, and our own people to your barn, backyard, or ridge line. What we will not bring: chafing dishes, foam plates, or anyone else's playlist.
Family-style, fire-first, staffed by the restaurant
Plover & Pine caters a small number of events each season, deliberately few, because the same cooks who work our line work your dinner. The format we do best is the one the restaurant is built on: long tables, platters down the middle, a fire doing the heavy lifting, and service that knows when to disappear.
Weddings and rehearsal dinners are most of the calendar. We also cook farm dinners, ridge-top birthdays, and one very committed family's Thanksgiving every year. Menus are written for your site and season with Chef Boone, priced per person with everything stated up front, and Cal can build the wine to travel with the food.
The honest boundaries
- Within about an hour of Asheville; the food rides well, not forever
- 20 to 120 guests seated; larger works standing, ask us
- From $85 per person plus staff and travel (illustrative demo figure)
- Booked two to six months out; the season fills in spring
The sourcing travels with us. If your dinner is in August, the Harrow Gap plums are coming too.
Tell us about your gathering
Site, date, headcount, and the feeling you want the evening to have. We reply within a business day, honestly, including when the answer is that we are full.
Thank you. We will write back within a day.
This is a demonstration success state; no information was sent. On a live site, our events team would reply with dates, menus, and a walkthrough time.
