The last deck of Type III framing was completed at Riverworks Lofts on June 12, marking topping out on day 411 of the project's 26-month schedule, four days ahead of the milestone ledger published at GMP.
The 214,000 square foot, 178-unit workforce housing community in Sacramento's River District has run on a nine-working-day framing takt since the podium handoff in January, with Gantry's self-perform carpentry crews setting each deck behind charged standpipes and third-party fire watch on every hot-work shift.
With the structure complete, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in is proceeding floor by floor, and window installation begins this month. Unit turns start this fall on the published five-units-per-crew weekly takt, and delivery remains committed for spring 2027.
There was no topping-out beam signing ceremony, because the client asked us a better question: what did it cost to stay on takt through a wet spring? The answer, resequencing pours and prefabricating wall panels for the two worst weather windows, is in the monthly report, where answers belong.
