The shingle or panel maker warrants the product itself against defects, typically 30 years to lifetime on architectural asphalt and 40 years on standing seam finishes (illustrative terms). We register it for you at close-out; most roofers leave that form in the truck.
Installation is where most roofs actually fail, and it is the part material warranties exclude. Overwatch covers our workmanship for 15 years: flashing, penetrations, fastening, ventilation. If our work leaks, we repair it and the damage it caused inside the scope, free.
The warranty document itself is two pages, written in English, and handed over with the final photo report. It is called Overwatch because that is the posture: the desk keeps watching your roof after the trucks leave. Warranty service calls route through the same storm line as everything else, and logged Overwatch calls have a median response of two business days (illustrative).
