Storm & Claims

Storm damage, handled like a case file.

Wichita sits in the hail alley. When a cell tracks through, Kestrel inspects fast, documents everything, and turns a bad week into a managed process: inspection, evidence, adjuster, restoration.

The first 72 hours

What to do after the sirens stop.

  • Stay off the roof. Hail-damaged shingles are slick and brittle; the inspection is our job and our insurance.
  • Photograph from the ground. Downspouts, screens, siding dents, and the date on your phone all become claim evidence.
  • Call the desk before the carrier, if you want. A free damage report tells you whether a claim is even worth filing. Filing a claim for damage below your deductible helps nobody.
  • Beware the folding tables. Out-of-state crews follow the hail maps. Ask any roofer for a local address and last season's references.

The claim, step by step

The rail every Kestrel storm job runs on.

01

Inspect

A Kestrel field inspector walks the roof, attic, and exterior within days of the storm, not weeks. You get a plain-language damage summary the same visit.

02

Document

Every bruise, crease, and impact gets photographed, chalked, and mapped to your policy's language. Adjusters respond to evidence, so we build a file, not a pitch.

03

Meet the Adjuster

We attend your adjuster meeting, walk the same roof together, and make sure nothing documented gets missed. You never have to argue scope alone.

04

Restore

Once the scope is approved, we build to it. Materials staged, one to two build days, magnetic nail sweep, and a final photo report for your records.

The Storm Log

Recent events, on the record.

If your ZIP appears in an open claims window, your inspection should already be scheduled.

Storm log figures are illustrative demo data created for this fictional site.

Two kinds of storm, two kinds of evidence.

Hail damage

Bruised mats, granule loss, and the one-inch threshold: what hail actually does to a roof and how adjusters read it.

Wind damage

Creased shingles, lifted tabs, and edge-zone failures: why wind damage hides in plain sight on the leeward slope.
