Home/About

Company

A roofing company built like a newsroom.

Kestrel started in 2012 (fictional timeline) with one crew, one truck, and a conviction: the week after a hailstorm is when Wichita homeowners most need calm, and calm is a system, not a personality.

The idea

The storm desk, explained.

After every major hail event, this county fills with out-of-state trucks, folding-table sales offices, and copy written to frighten. Travis Yoder started Kestrel to be the opposite thing: a desk. A place with a published storm log, a claims coordinator with a name, crews that live here, and paperwork a homeowner can actually read.

The newsroom framing is not decoration. We log events with dates and hail sizes, we document damage like evidence, we print our figures with their labels, and we put the deductible explanation on the website instead of mumbling it at the door. Storm restoration is a trust business conducted during the least trusting week of a homeowner's year. Everything about how Kestrel operates follows from taking that sentence seriously.

The calmest voice in the room should be your roofer. Especially that week.

How we operate

Three standing rules.

Everything in writing

Scopes, schedules, warranties, and findings. If it matters, it is on paper before work starts, and photographed after it ends.

No storm-chaser tactics

No door knocking, no fear copy, no deductible games, no pressure to file. We publish the storm log and let the evidence sell.

Local, year-round

Same address on North Ridge Court since 2012 (fictional). The crews that documented last season's storms will answer for this season's roofs.

The storm desk is open

One storm line. One desk. Zero guesswork.

Start with a free written damage report. If your roof is fine, we will tell you that too, in writing, and you can get back to your week.
