Ada Lindqvist

Runs the design phase from morning audit to the last drawer pull. Trained in Stockholm, fluent in Wisconsin.

Ada joined Wrenhouse in 2016 and now leads every project through the Design and Refine phases, which means she has made roughly ten thousand selections and defended every one of them with a price attached.

The Stockholm half

Ada trained in spatial design in Stockholm, in a tradition that treats daylight as a building material and believes storage is a moral issue. She brought two convictions across the Atlantic: that a home should be planned around its worst month, not its best photograph, and that the answer to a small room is almost never more stuff. February-proofing, she calls it. In Madison, it turns out, February-proofing is a growth market.

The Wisconsin half

Eight years of Wrenhouse projects taught her the local dialect: mudrooms that absorb five months of boots, kitchens that host twenty for Packers games, lower levels that must never smell like lower levels. Her selections library on Sparrow Lane is organized by how materials age, not how they photograph, and she is famous in the studio for the veto phrase: it will not love you back.

What clients should expect

Fewer, better decisions. Ada narrows every choice to options that fit the house, the budget, and each other, then puts the real samples in your hands. She will tell you which cream paint goes gray at dusk, which quartz pattern repeats every 48 inches, and which $14,000 idea should become cabinetry instead. Clients repeatedly describe the same moment: realizing the design phase was where the anxiety was supposed to go, and did.

Ada Lindqvist is a fictional character created for this design demonstration.
