Aran Crew-Neck Sweater

The Aran started as a house sweater we knitted for ourselves and never took off. It is a dense, five-gauge merino crew with a slightly high neck, set-in shoulders, and ribbing deep enough to hold its shape through a hundred wears. We knit it in runs of two hundred, in a mill that has made the same gauge for three generations, and we would rather sell out than thin the yarn to make it cheaper. It softens with wear and holds warmth without weight, which is the whole point of good wool.

100% extra-fine merino wool. Woven and finished by fictional partner mills. Every fibre claim here is illustrative for the demo.

Hand wash cold, dry flat, no wringing. We repair anything we make, for as long as you own it (in this fictional world).
