Delia Hollifield
Founder & green buyer
Sources every lot, keeps the farm relationships, still cups every batch before it bags.
Home / Story
Hollow Oak began in 2019, when a home roaster and a line cook decided Burlington deserved coffee with the roast date on the bag. This is a fictional demo, but the story is the kind we build sites around.

2019
Delia Hollifield had been roasting in her garage for years. Marcus Reyes could pull a shot but not source a bean. They met over a genuinely terrible airport coffee, argued about why it was terrible, and signed a lease under the big oak on Millrace Road three months later.
The tree is why we are Hollow Oak, and why the roast date matters to us: coffee, like the tree, is only as good as its roots and its rings. We put both on the bag.
What we hold to
We would rather buy one farm's coffee for ten years than chase the cheapest lot every season.
We publish what we pay and stamp the roast date. If a bag is not good enough, it does not ship.
The cafe is a place, not a drive-through. Good chairs, slow mornings, no rush to turn the table.
Recyclable bags, carbon-neutral shipping, spent grounds to the community garden two doors down.
The people
Founder & green buyer
Sources every lot, keeps the farm relationships, still cups every batch before it bags.
Head roaster
Rebuilt the 1962 drum by hand and writes every roast curve we run.
Cafe lead
Runs the bar, trains the baristas, and knows your order before you reach the register.
People and roles are illustrative fiction for this demo.
