Who we build for
Four owners. One operating system.
Agencies, districts, energy owners, and developers buy differently, but they all buy the same three things from us: honest numbers, held schedules, and crews that have done it before.
Market 01
DOT & Municipal
Agency work is graded twice: once by the inspector, once by the traveling public. We build to both audiences.
Roughly two thirds of our backlog is public: state DOT reconstruction and interchange packages, county road and bridge programs, and municipal capital projects from storm outfalls to complete streets. We carry the estimating depth to bid DOT lettings month after month, and the paperwork discipline (certified payrolls, DBE participation, materials traceability) that keeps an agency job clean from notice to proceed through final acceptance.
Traffic control is where public work is won or lost with the public. Our in-house traffic control division plans phasing in-house, staffs its own flagging operations, and treats the temporary condition with the same engineering rigor as the permanent one. Illustrative example: the Silver Creek Interchange reconstruction carried 68,000 vehicles a day through four phased configurations without a single full closure of the mainline.
Market record · illustrative
- 68 · Agency contracts completed
- 96% · Milestones met, five-year trailing
- 4 · Standing DOT prequalification categories
Market 02
Water & Wastewater
Buried work is trust work: the owner sees it for one week, then relies on it for eighty years.
We build the wet side of infrastructure: large-diameter transmission mains, gravity collection systems, lift and pump stations, and the cast-in-place concrete structures inside treatment plants, including basins, headworks, and clearwells. Our utility crews self-perform excavation, shoring, pipe laying, and testing, so the critical path never waits on a subcontractor's trench box.
Water work rewards contractors who respect geotechnical reality. Dewatering plans, shoring engineering, thrust restraint, and bedding compaction are checked against the geotech report before mobilization, not improvised in the hole. Every weld map, pressure test, and density report lands in a closeout package the district's operators can actually use.
Market record · illustrative
- 38 · Miles of large-diameter main
- 12 · Treatment plant structure packages
- 60 IN · Largest main installed
Market 03
Energy & Industrial
Energy schedules are contractual and weather is not. We plan earthwork around both.
For energy and industrial owners we deliver the civil scope that everything else stands on: access road networks, crane pads and laydown yards, deep foundations and mass concrete, rail spur grading, and the drainage systems that keep a 400-acre site buildable in a wet spring. Our fleet depth means a wind-farm road package or a substation pad program does not compete with our highway work for iron.
Industrial owners buy schedule certainty. We sequence mass grading against historical weather windows, publish earthwork quantities weekly from drone surveys against the design surface, and keep a standing crushing operation that turns site rock into structural fill instead of import invoices.
Market record · illustrative
- 2400 · Acres of energy sitework graded
- 86 · Miles of access road built
- 9 · Substation and plant pads delivered
Market 04
Private Development
Developers do not buy dirt work. They buy finished-lot dates their lenders can believe.
On the private side we take raw ground to vertical-ready: mass excavation and embankment, over-lot grading, wet and dry utility systems, curb and flatwork, and asphalt paving, delivered as a single accountable contract. One contractor from first cut to final lift means no gap between the utility trench and the paving schedule, and no finger-pointing when the survey does not close.
Our estimating team prices from our own production history, and our project engineers publish quantities weekly, so a developer's pro forma is tracking real yardage rather than a guess. Illustrative example: the 210-acre Prairie Gate logistics park moved 2.1 million cubic yards and turned over its first pad 19 days ahead of the finished-lot date in the loan agreement.
Market record · illustrative
- 3100 · Finished lots and pads delivered
- 2.1 M CY · Largest single-site earthwork
- 19 · Days early, latest pad turnover
