Est. 1995 · Denver, Colorado · Heavy civil general contractor
Infrastructure,down to the tenth.
Crossgrade builds the roadways, bridges, and buried systems the Rocky Mountain West runs on: self-performed, surveyed twice, and delivered on the schedule we signed.
Figures illustrative. Fictional demo company.
Who we are
A contractor that thinks like the engineer of record.
We are operators, surveyors, and civil engineers who happen to hold the contract. Every bid starts with the geotech report, every phase plan is traffic-modeled, and every claim we make about production comes off a dashboard, not a brochure.
Founded in 1995 with one scraper and a county road contract, Crossgrade now fields around 300 pieces of iron and self-performs more than seventy percent of its work: earthwork, structures, utilities, concrete, and paving.
Constructability first
Documented constructability and survey-control review on every set we price. Ground truth before mobilization.

96% of milestones met
Five-year trailing, all contracts (illustrative). Schedules published to owners weekly, not summarized quarterly.
Markets
Four markets. One standard of care.
Public corridors
Interstate and arterial reconstruction, interchanges, county road programs, and municipal capital work delivered under DOT specifications.
ExploreWet infrastructure
Transmission mains, collection systems, lift stations, and cast-in-place treatment structures for water utilities and districts.
ExploreEnergy ground game
Access roads, pads, foundations, and heavy sitework for utility-scale energy and industrial facilities across the Front Range and high plains.
ExploreVertical-ready land
Mass grading, wet and dry utilities, and paving for logistics parks, residential communities, and commercial campuses.
ExploreSelf-perform
The critical path never waits on a phone call.
More than seventy percent of our contract value is built by crews on our own payroll, with our own iron. That is why our schedules are commitments instead of forecasts.

Safety culture
Everyone grades home.
Heavy civil is unforgiving of improvisation, so we do not improvise. Every crew starts the shift with a task hazard analysis, every close call is logged and read, and any hand on the job can stop the work without asking permission.
Careers
Iron in the yard. Work on the board. Crews that stay.
Operators, pipe layers, bridge carpenters, engineers: heavy civil is a craft career here, not a gig. Year-round work, real training, and foremen promoted from the seat, not the lobby.
