The house

Three rooms, one candle at a time

A narrow Creole townhouse: copper rail up front, velvet parlor behind it, brick courtyard through the carriageway. Choose your shadow.

01

The Bar Room

A long polished copper bar rail reflecting candle flames, with backbar bottles as warm bokeh in the darkness

Twelve stools along a copper rail poured in 1962 and polished nightly since. Sit here if you want to watch the work: every drink on the list is built, stirred, and named within arm's reach. The bar seats cannot be reserved; they are earned by showing up.

  • 12 seats, first come only
  • Full menu, full kitchen
  • The stir happens here
02

The Parlor

A corner booth in oxblood velvet beside a small marble table holding a single candle and an empty coupe glass

Oxblood velvet, low candlelight, music kept under the conversation. The parlor is where the cart rituals are performed and where evenings quietly lose track of themselves. Booths seat two to six and can be held with a reservation.

  • 6 booths · 2 to 6 guests
  • Table-side ritual service
  • Reservable nightly
03

The Courtyard

A lantern-lit passage of aged brick and a weathered green door on a dark New Orleans street at night

Through the carriageway and past the second door: bare brick, gas lanterns, night air, and the only seats in the house where the sky gets a say. Open when the weather cooperates, candlelit when it does not quite.

  • 28 seats, weather willing
  • Lantern light after dusk
  • Private hire for up to 40

Private rites

The whole courtyard, yours

The courtyard hosts up to forty for private evenings: a dedicated bartender, the ritual cart, and the kitchen's full six plates. Write to table@copperserpentbar.com with a date and a headcount, and we will draw up the night. Fictional demo; inquiries are simulated.

Hold a corner of the dark

Booths and courtyard tables can be reserved nightly. The rail belongs to whoever finds the door first.
