The treatment, plainly.

Lip filler has a reputation problem the industry earned. Ours is a border-respecting method: hyaluronic acid placed to restore hydration, definition, and the proportions your lips already have, never inflated past the line nature drew. The result should look like your lips on their best day.

Most first appointments at Novella use half a syringe. It is easier to add a chapter than to unwrite one, and lips photographed two weeks apart tell us more than any amount injected in a single sitting.

How it unfolds.

Proportion consult

We study your lips at rest, speaking, and smiling, and agree on shape before size. Numbing cream goes on while we finalize the plan.

Placement

Small, slow injections with frequent mirror checks. A half-syringe first appointment is our default recommendation, not our upsell.

The two-week review

Swelling flatters and then it lies. At two weeks we photograph the settled result and decide together whether the next half syringe earns its place.

What to expect after

Lips swell for two to four days; plan around big events accordingly. Bruising is possible and fades within a week. The settled result appears at about two weeks and typically holds nine to twelve months. Drink water, skip straws for a day, and sleep on your back the first night.

The border is the brief. Stay inside it and lips look expensive; cross it and no amount of product looks like anything but product.

Will half a syringe even show?

Yes, and that is the point. Hydration and definition change how lips catch light long before size changes. Most clients are surprised how much half a syringe does.

Does it hurt?

Numbing cream and a slow hand keep most clients comfortable. Expect pressure and the occasional sting rather than pain.

How do I avoid duck lips?

Choose an injector whose portfolio you would wear. Our method never places product outside your natural border, at any appointment, for any request.
