KAIROS MERIDIAN

Titanium Kairos sport watch with electric-blue perforated strap resting on wet black volcanic basalt

One titanium sport watch, opened to the bone. A skeleton calibre with electric-blue chatons, 200 metres of water resistance, and a single blue line cut through everything else. Edition of 500. All of it illustrative fiction.

The Kairos approach

Instrument first. Ornament never.

Most sport watches decorate toughness. We removed everything that only decorates: applied logos, dial text, a date window nobody set. What survived the cut is structure, and structure photographed on volcanic rock at night turns out to be the whole aesthetic.

Thirty-eight prototype cases were machined and rejected before the ridgeline chamfer held its light at every angle. The blue is not a brand color; it is a marking system, the same electric line on jewels, seconds hand, and crown ring, so the eye always knows where the movement is working hardest.

Specifications

Three chapters. No fine print worth hiding.

Movement, case, crystal: the order a watchmaker checks and the order we obsess. Every figure below is illustrative, and every one would be published if this brand were real.

Movement

The KRS-01 calibre, opened to the bone

Every bridge that could be skeletonized was. What remains is load-path and geometry: 214 components, 26 jewels set in electric-blue chatons, and a tungsten micro-rotor so the caseback view is never blocked. Assembled, regulated, and torn back down twice before it ships. All figures illustrative, like the rest of this demo.

Case

Titanium cut like terrain

Grade-5 titanium, machined in 14 operations and finished by hand: brushed flats, micro-blasted valleys, one polished chamfer running the full perimeter like a ridgeline at dawn. 78 grams on the wrist, 200 metres under it. The crown screws down against a double gasket and the blue anodized ring beneath it is the only ornament we allowed.

  • Head weight 78 g
  • Water resistance 200 m
  • Machining operations 14
  • Case parts 31

Crystal

A box of sapphire, invisible on purpose

2.8 millimetres of box-section sapphire, ground from a single boule and coated with double anti-reflective layers until the dial reads like open air. Nine on the Mohs scale means the desk, the door frame, and the basalt lose. The strap underneath it: micro-perforated rubber that sheds water and weight in the same gesture.

  • Crystal height 2.8 mm
  • Hardness 9 Mohs
  • AR coatings 6 layers
  • Strap weight 11 g

Materials, at macro distance

Close enough to testify.

No renders. The demo photography is generated, but the discipline is the pitch: if a surface cannot survive a macro lens, it does not ship.

The edition

Five hundred. Then the tooling stops.

Each case is engraved with its number before the movement goes in. When the ledger reads 500 of 500, the Meridian One is history, not inventory. Counts illustrative, like everything on this demo.
