Small-batch roastery · Asheville, NC

Roasted here.Poured slowly.

A neighborhood coffee house built around one Thursday ritual: we roast, we cup, and we pour the week's best into your morning. No rush. No pretense. Just the good stuff, warm.

More than a coffee stop

Built for the long sit

We took over a former upholstery workshop on Kilnhouse Avenue in 2019 and kept everything worth keeping: the brick, the beams, the light. Then we filled it with the smell of Thursday's roast.

Premium beans, honestly sourced

Three origins we return to season after season, bought from named farms and co-ops.

Expert hands at the bar

Our baristas dial in twice a day and taste as they go. If a shot is off, you never see it.

Cozy on purpose

Lamplight over overhead glare, chairs you sink into, and music kept under the conversation.

Thursday is roast day

One drum, three house roasts, and a standing rule: nothing goes in the hopper until it beats last week's batch at the cupping table. Come watch through the glass, or book a Saturday tasting.

What the regulars say

Postcards from the counter

Five stars.
“I've had coffee in eleven countries and I still plan my Saturday around the cupping bar here. Nobody performs at you. They just pour and let the cup argue.”
Corrine A.Regular since 2021 (fictional)
Five stars.
“The honey latte is the reason my dog knows the word 'Ember.' The room is the reason I stay two hours longer than I mean to.”
Marcus T.West Asheville neighbor (fictional)
Five stars.
“I write at the window seat most mornings. They remember my order, they never rush the pour, and the second batch-brew cup before nine is civilization.”
